WHAT IS A BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT?
While the name Brazilian butt lift might evoke images of women on the beach, the procedure is named after the Brazilian doctor who first discovered how to take fat from one part of your body and place it into your buttocks.
This double-edged effort allows you to shrink certain areas while enhancing your hind end, making it fuller and rounder.
WHAT HAPPENS DURING A BRAZILIAN BUTT LIFT PROCEDURE?
To perform a Brazilian butt lift, Dr. Davila uses liposuction to remove fat from your own body. He typically removes the fat from any of the following areas:
Thighs
Abdomen
Hips
Lower back
Once the fat is removed, Dr. Davila processes and purifies it. After, he injects the fat back into your buttock through tiny incisions he makes all around either cheek.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE PROCEDURE?
Immediately following your Brazilian butt lift, your body needs to heal and adjust to two areas of treatment, so you should count on taking it slow during the first week. You should also avoid sitting for long periods of time for at least two weeks after the procedure, as it can interfere with the fat placement. When you sleep, you’ll need to do so on your side or stomach for the same reason.
You’ll also need to take care of the liposuction site and you may need to wear a compression garment for a few weeks over the area.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
It’s hard to predict what your end result will be when it comes to this technique as your body may reabsorb some of the fat that Dr. Davila injects into your buttocks. On average, patients retain 60-80% of the injected fat.
Immediately after your procedure, you’ll have some swelling in the area, which further clouds the results. Once the swelling subsides, and your body has either absorbed the fat or integrated it into your buttocks, you’ll be able to appreciate your full results.
